Over the last few weeks we had some nice warm weather and sunshine, still cold at night, but spring was in the air. All this has changed in the moment I landed in Prague. I left Alicante with some nice 20-22º C in the daytime and Prague welcomed me with a fresh layer of snow and minus temperatures. I must admit that we still officially have winter – for another few days.
I am enjoying my stay here, my Mum is as happy to have me here as I am. We have a lot to do, meet family and friends, do some shopping. This time I didn’t buy any more fabrics to boost my stash. I have only brought quilting threads from Gütterman and Mettler, but in a large variety of colors. They are for practicing and learning free-motion quilting with the Skill Builder Block of the Month by Pile of Fabric. I am taking a break from sewing so that I can start with new energy when I am back at home. Hopefully my ordered fabrics have arrived by then from the UK.

Prague is one of the few cities I REALLY want to visit. Its so beautiful. Planning a trip when I graduate as a “job well done”. Beautiful pics.

It looks very beautiful but so cold. I’m very impressed with how the roads are clear of snow, unlike in the UK when everything has to close down because the roads have snow on them. Enjoy the break. Avis x

Hi Avis, it is only the main roads that get cleared. Since we have sunshine even the snow looks nice and the cool temperatures feel different. Thanks for stopping!

Even the motorways don’t always get cleared here. This week, many drivers had to sleep in their cars as they got stuck on their way home from work. Crazy!

We had more snow overnight! Wonder how the streets will look like when we go out. Need definitely some snow boots!
