new quilt – new colors

The week is nearly over and I have started working on a new quilt. No new design, just new colors. All are from the Kona Solids collection.

I am very proud of my new rotary cutter with a tulip design. And I have also got a brand new cutting mat. I have had the old one for many, many years and it is not anymore in a perfect shape. But I can still use it when cutting the quilt sandwich and trimming it to shape before adding the binding. So that all the batting fluff stays in the old cutting mat.

We have some extremely warm days here on the Costa Blanca, on Sunday the weather is back to normal and maybe with some rain – exactly the right conditions for a sewing day!

Have a wonderful weekend, thanks for stopping, Barbora

Hi Barbora! Great to have NEW tools! I have also cutter with flowers and would need NEW mat. Your bright solids are beautiful and I’m sure something exciting is coming up! x Teje
PS. Our weather seams to be the opposite – now some cold days after summer days and next week we are waiting again warmer days.

It is always nice to get something for quilting that is different from fabrics. We sent you the nice weather to Greece and it got really cold here! Barbora
