quilting sunday

This time a quick photo post with my latest finished quilt : Elementary Squares – quilted with the walking foot, using the wavy stitch #4 on the Bernina.

I tried to take a photo of the quilt outside but the wind was just to strong. The quilt started to behave as a sail and even my husband could not hold the it.

Quilt size : 76″ x 85″ / 195 x 216 cm

Material : Elementary by Sweetwater for Moda using 2 charm packs, 1 jelly roll, solid fabrics in light beige/ivory and black

Thanks for stopping, happy quilting and have a nice week, Barbora

Hi Barbora! This is so beautiful! Lovely colours, like the beach, sand, sea. Great quilting, too! x Teje

Welcome back Barbora… missed you. Seems to me that you overworked your blog… I just looked around a bit and must say: I love what you are doing (and what you did too!). Kind regards, Annett

Hi Annett, I suppose I needed some time off from posting. My blog is the same, I like to share what I am up to. I also started knitting after many, many years and so now I have to split my free time between quilting and knitting. Greetings from the south, B.

Oh yes… I know this “time-problem”… I’m full time working and have not really much time for crafting (at the moment I have one week holiday and splitting my time not between working and crafting but between sewing-knitting-quilting-crocheting… days should have more hours I think!

Nice finish! The attempted outside photo is more fun than a “perfect” one.

I know, but after taking this one photo the quilt just flew away from the line as the pegs were not strong enough!!

What a great idea for quilting — using a very simple stitch with the walking foot. I like the simplicity of this quilt.
