Well, I finally finished the lilac quilt for Joan. The last drunkard’s path blocks for some time. Now I need to do some straight sewing and quilting! I have worked on this quilt for some time and now it is ready for delivery. Each block was quilted separately with the walking foot. I have joined the blocks together with golden strips on the front and with red ones on the back. The binding is also golden.
Quilt size : 84″ x 84″ / 213 x 213 cm
Block size : 28″ x 28″ / 71 x 71 cm
And here some impressions from my early morning dog walks :
Last weekend we went to Balneario de Archena near the town of Murcia to enjoy a few days in a spa. The hotel is situated in wonderful Valle de Ricote on the river Segura :
Thanks for stopping, have nice weekend and happy quilting, Barbora
Thanks, I had some doubts when I selected the fabrics, but at the end the colors came out nice.

Beautiful quilt. The colours are fantastic together as well. This will be a treasured gift, I’m sure. 😃

Gorgeous! I like these curves – but until now I didn’t try sewing them. And I love the idea to make single big blocks and quilt them before joining.

Knetty, just sew them – curves are not so complicated. It needs some patience and slow sewing. Barbora

Looks good. I love the look of curved seams, but don’t love sewing them, even with “easy” methods.

Thanks, looking forward to some “curve-free” quilts!

Wow, this baby is big! It reminds me of Spanish tiles. I hope its recipient is properly impressed. I especially like the aqua touches.
