A few hours of quilting over the weekend and I have finished the Chicken Quilt. Details about the quilt progress in my last post.
The chicken blocks in detail :
I have quilted this quilt throw with straight lines but using the wavy stitch #4 on my Bernina Aurora 440 QE, once more using the walking foot.
A photo of the back, with the chickens shining through the wadding and backing :
A detail of the binding with a rich solid yellow fabric :
I have used solid white from Makower UK for the background, taken the grey and yellow fabrics from my stash and used orange and red fabrics from my scrap box.
Quilt size : 52″ x 72″ / Block size : 6,5″ x 7,5″
Wadding : Bosal Acadia Premium 80% cotton / 20% polyester Autumn weight in white
Quilting thread : Mettler Quilting Cotton col. white 02 and yellow 500
Happy quilting, looking forward to hear from you!

So “sunny” with the yelow and orange details. I like it very much, specially when outdoor is black and freezy!! I love the see – through photo too.

Gotta love that serpentine stitch. It makes for such great texture.

Oh yes. It “breaks” up the the rectangle block pattern and makes the quilt more cosy.
