Something for in between projects : a double sided quilted cushion cover. I made the hexie side a few weeks ago – see this post. When I was sorting out my sewing room, I found an extra log cabin block for a quilt I made earlier – Magenta and Golden Flowers. All I needed was to add strips to the original log cabin un till I had a finished cushion cover size of 20″ x 20″.
I have used for both cushion cover sides bright Kaffe Fassett fabrics.
The log cabin strips are 1″ wide when finished; i.e. cutting is 1,5″. The center square is 2″ finished; i.e. cutting 2,5″.
Quilted in straight lines with the walking foot along all seams. I have used a diagonal stitch so that I could quilt this cushion cover in one go, without cutting off and burying any threads.
Here the finished cushion cover :

barbora
Suuuuper pretty Barbora. I love sewing all day. I do have to take care of my daddy who is 95 but he can sometimes go a day or two without me. I must clean the house and ours is big (we will move out one day soon I hope, but for now it is great fun for grand daughters) and oh yes, the cooking and the shopping. Other than that, I sew sew sew.

Thanks! We woman have other obligations, so sometimes sewing comes to short. Just came from Prague, my mum is 86 and living on her own. She is doing great, has a lady that helps her now and then. good to hear that your Dad is well! And about the house : when I live in the house it is OK, but when I clean it – it is far too big!!
Greetings from very hot Spain!

Nice! Love the color combination! I agree on non-stop quilting. I always try for it.
