Well, another WIP. From the moment I have seen the Radiate Quilt Pattern photos on the internet, I knew I wanted to make it. Meghan Buchanan designed the quilt, and she is the person behind Then Came June.
I have pieced enough blocks to make a good size quilt throw. Once more I have alternated the size, this time my version of the quilt throw is longer than in the pattern.
I love the straightforward design. My accent blocks are all pieced, they only need some cutting. I have opted for a dark purple/brown hue.
The quilt has a diagonal design with 3 inches (finished width) sashing. My choice of the background is the same as in the quilt pattern – off white. Most of the fabrics are Kona Solids by Robert Kaufman. A few are Bella Solids by Moda Fabrics or Spectrum Solids by Makower. A mix and match from my stash.
Here photos of a few of the Radiate Quilt blocks, each block has a different color combination. The block size is 10 1/2 inches unfinished.
The next steps : cut some blocks on the diagonal. Layout the blocks on the floor and decide where to place each block. Cut sashing and piece the quilt top together.
Stay tuned to the Radiate Quilt work progress, happy quilting
